Well The Foo Fighters have started writing material for their new album and have chosen to collaborate with Nirvana's producer Butch Vig.

The 'Nevermind' producer is to be brought in by Grohl almost 20 years after they originally worked together.

Foo Fighters have nailed the music market right in the head with chart topping albums over chart topping albums and now seem to want to go down memory lane and churn up some new numbers with a lot of heavy content, which is precicely why they have chosen to work with Butch Vig.

The band has also decided to forget about using posh studios to record and are favouring to return to a garage setting to compose and record this album. 

"I think this could be our heaviest album yet," Grohl was quoted saying.
